Focus topics
In a cross-industry position paper on the climate change, demands and commitments were developed and then brought into the public discussion and implementation.
Under the theme “Future Skills”, content and formats for life-long learning are planned; in addition, a project outline for a European education incubator is available under the project name “EUphoria
In a “technology mapping”, future potentials of innovation and technology are to be identified in order to prioritize measures that strengthen focus and impact.
Climate & Environment
The earth is not only our common heritage, it is also the source of life
(Dalai Lama)
The transformation to climate neutrality by 2050 is a task of the century for politics, business and society. If we succeed, we can maintain our high level of prosperity, strengthen Europe’s role in the world, and leave a healthy planet for our children.
Ideas/Initiatives
The ReAct position paper – Fast and together to climate neutrality.
Our formula for the energy transition was developed with this overarching position paper. We call for an “Energy Transition Laboratory Germany” in which the transformation to climate neutrality is created and competitiveness is maintained with innovative strength and the necessary political framework
The collaborative exchange with science, politics and experts.
In numerous “round tables” and digital conferences (with PIK, German Zero, CEO Alliance, politicians from all parties and many other experts), the implementation steps of the position paper are discussed and refined
Education & Talents
Skills and knowledge are the most powerful tools to change the world
Education reform does not end with the digitization of schools. Rather, it is about the content and formats that we need in order to meet the challenges of the economy and society. The teaching of specialist knowledge, the promotion of soft skills, adaptability, transfer competence and much more are all up for discussion and must be integrated into a concept of life-long learning.
Ideas/Initiatives
EUphoria – the incubator with young people from all over Europe.
The idea: During a 4-6 month innovation sprint, numerous topics are set such as: What does the education of the future look like for “digital natives”? How can the cohesion of the EU be established through integrated educational formats? Young Europeans work together to develop new approaches and solutions.
Future Skills
In the “Future Skill” area, content and formats are to be developed for the job market of the future. Soft skills, entrepreneurship and a positive mindset are just as important as technology expertise and analytical skills.
Life-long-learning
A strong development with rapid changes in technology, business models and social requirements leads to the necessity of life-long-learning. What are the options and models for education and training and how can measurability and transparency be established for the range of skills?
Technology & Innovation
A really good idea can be recognized by the fact that its realization seemed impossible in the beginning
(Albert Einstein)
The question of innovative capability and specialization in science and technology development will determine the future of Germany and Europe. It must be possible to rapidly transfer innovations from science into application development, to build ecosystems for leap innovations and to identify focus fields that ensure global relevance and differentiation.
Ideas/Initiatives
Technologiy Mapping
What are the potentials of future technologies and their impact on industries and society as a whole? And what are the right measures to join forces and promote global competitiveness?
Science transfer as a recipe for success
The issues of application development and monetization of scientific findings and basic research are the focus of this important topic. How can incentive systems be created and implementation sites (maker spaces, innovation campuses, etc.) be established?
Ecosystems for leap innovations
The development of disruptive business models and fundamentally new innovation approaches requires the cooperation of companies, startups, science and politics, as well as many other stakeholders. For this purpose, places and initiatives must be created for the bundling of forces.
